{"id":18,"date":"2019-11-09T21:51:20","date_gmt":"2019-11-09T20:51:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fg-on.de\/progress-2019\/?page_id=18"},"modified":"2019-11-11T22:21:28","modified_gmt":"2019-11-11T21:21:28","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fg-on.de\/progress-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/progress-2015\/files\/2015\/10\/Illustration_Startseite_2015.jpg\" alt=\"Symposium illustrations: audience, group picture in front of college building, flags of participant\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The symposium aims to strengthen the partnership between the German university <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/tu-freiberg.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">TU Bergakademie Freiberg<\/a> and its partner universities in Iraq, Salahaddin University-Erbil, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uotechnology.edu.iq\/\" target=\"_blank\">University of Technology Baghdad<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/epu.edu.krd\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Erbil Polytechnic University<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uodiyala.edu.iq\/\" target=\"_blank\">University of Diyala<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.koyauniversity.org\" target=\"_blank\">Koya University<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/nahrainuniv.edu.iq\">Al-Nahrain University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpu.edu.krd\">Dohuk Polytechnic University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ishik.edu.iq\">Ishik University<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uomosul.edu.iq\">Mosul University<\/a>.<br><strong>Focus <\/strong>of the symposium will be education and practical qualification for future experts in Additive Manufacturing<strong><em> <\/em><\/strong>and areas of cooperation in the fields of engineering, materials, machinery, manufacturing between the universities and Iraqi and German companies and institutions.<br>The symposium is hosted by Salahaddin University-Erbil, Iraq, and funded by DAAD and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.<br>Since 2009 the Faculty of Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering of TU Bergakademie Freiberg has been coordinating the German-Iraqi academic partnership projects <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.megi.tu-freiberg.de\" target=\"_blank\">Mechanical Engineering Germany \u2013 Iraq (MEGI)<\/a> and  <a href=\"https:\/\/tu-freiberg.de\/en\/fakult4\/imkf\/dilam\">Distance Learning and Additive Manufacturing<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/tu-freiberg.de\/en\/fakult4\/imkf\/dilam\">(<\/a>DiLAM). MEGI has been funded\u00a0by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) since 2009 until 2018 and DiLAM 2019-2020.
