History

Academic cooperation with between Iraq and Germany, 2009 – 2023

Since 2009 the Faculty of Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering of Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg has been coordinating the German-Iraqi academic partnership projects Mechanical Engineering Germany – Iraq (MEGI), Distance Learning and Additive Manufacturing (DiLAM) and Education Skills Additive Manufacturing (ESAM) .

MEGI has been funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) since 2009 until 2018 and DiLAM 2019-2020 and ESAM 2021-2023 . DAAD aims to support the reconstruction of higher education in Iraq.
